I'm hoping Hillary Rodham Clinton will make the T-shirt with the message, "Someday a woman will be PRESIDENT," obsolete. For the past 14 years, my company, Women Are Wonderful Foundation Inc., has produced the T-shirt that features Margaret from the Dennis the Menace cartoon, proclaiming enthusiastically that a woman will someday be president.

We believe there will no longer be a need for this T-shirt because our hope is high that Hillary will be a living image that a woman has finally made it as the leader of our country. In the past, women like Virginia Woodhull ran for the presidency in 1872, followed by Belva Lockwood in 1884, Margaret Chase Smith in 1964, Shirley Chisholm in 1972, Patricia Schroeder in 1987 and finally, eight years ago in 1999, Elizabeth Dole threw her hat in the ring.

Women Are Wonderful is grateful that Hillary has not permitted their dashed dreams to deter her from her mission. More than anything, we want to see the T-shirt that has appeared in the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca, N.Y., become history.
